Looking for some Action

Ok. let's start with this here in des moines there are some really great shooters. we will not name all of them but one in paticular... Mr. Jamie Fenton. He told me tonite that he'll play anyone any time and told me to post this on here. now the guy is good and has little to no fear when it comes to playing 1hole 9ball 8ball straight pool even 10ball he says that he will play anyone. he played a campion (gu yu kim) (spelling names is a bad thing for me) and took his licks and the next night wanted more... so basicaly he has an open chalange to anyone... if you wanna play him just show up and play or drop a line and i'll let him know. those of you that know him know what i'm saying and know that he has the mindset to be a real pro.... :D so come play....
 
Do you mean Gai Young Kim? If he got beat by her for the cash...while it aint exactly embarrassing cause she runs out good...it still doesnt bode well for him since about 500 road dogs will also beat your horse there.

These looking for action threads never go anywhere...usually just a bunch of huffing and puffing.
 
lol...I think the last time I gambled was against Jamie in the Spring of '05 on an 8 footer. I think I lost $15 but I didn't really care as I was prepping for Valley state tourney and needed some motivation. It worked, as I did well at state. I think he got first in the 9-ball that year, so maybe I helped him? ha ha ha

Sometimes losing is better, I guess.:rolleyes:

Oh puleeze...Fenton won't even play the other good players in DM, let alone anywhere else! Mike Athens will certainly gamble with Jamie at ANY time...as long as he doesn't get stiffed.:rolleyes:

There has been some decent action in Des Moines the last few months. Unknown player from Ohio was played $200, $500, $1000 and $2000 sets of 9 ball and $200/ game one pocket. Jon Hennessee was in town a couple months ago and played but I was not there so I don't know any specifics. Ga Young Kim was here last week and played $1000 sets.

I guess if those are "cheap" sets then it might not be worth your while.

your right mike. there are also a few people who have very deep pokets and i think like to spend their money on long shots. there is so much action in dm right now that it is not funny... if i were any better i would try to get it...(from experiance when i thought that i was able to snap a coupple off and lost my ass) i guess i just need to get more table time in.. you know it is bad when you work where i do and don't get enough practice in. Now i really know how tom felt(R.I.P) and realise that the hours are starting to get shorter for me to practice. i guess i'll just have to drill and bang some more balls around.... well that does it for me for awhile... running out of steam and got a finger cramp..:D
 
we'll jess, josh, shane, and lupe should all be there this weekend so jamie should'nt have any problem getting tortured.
