When I was looking for the perfect pool cue for me I struggled trying to find anyone that was anything other than a salesman. They all seemed to fit me into their best grossing items rather than focusing on what I really needed. I was say I need a pool cue that has a firm hit. Then they start talking about this new Meucci cue they just got in. Anyone that has shot with a Meucci knows they are a softer hit and have a lot of wobble in the hit with that red dot shaft.
I got to the next store and same thing. I get talked into some nice looking cue for $700 and I have hit with it before. It is not what I’m looking for. What I end up having to do is spend money playing with everything under the sun. I played with a Players Pool Cue from Shooters Billiard Supply http://www.shootersbilliardsupply.com/players-pool-cues before I end up settling in a Viking Pool Cue called the Two Feather Anasazi http://www.shootersbilliardsupply.com/viking-two-feather-anasazi-pool-cue. Now this pool cue hits like a dream. It has the firm hit and absolute low deflection. I can hit straight down table and stop shot the cue ball with ease. It is exactly what I was looking for. The art work is unmatched. The wrap is a comfortable leather wrap. Many intricate inlays decorate the cue. I have used it for six months now. I got the 11 out of 150 that will be made. I get constant complements from fellow players on the looks, feel, and hit. I will be using this cue for the foreseeable future. Thanks to Shooters for knowing what I needed and selling it at a reasonable price compared to other sites. I saved $225 by buying it from them.
I hope this helps some folks out there who are having the same issues I did finding the right cue. It is important to spend our money on what we need rather than just being sold something from a sales guy that most likely does not even play pool. The guys at Shooters are all league and tournament players. Once I opened up about what I was really needing they put me onto the right cue.
