I'd continue to review the recent matches put up by Steve Lipsky; I certainly do. Here's an opportunity to watch the game played as good as anyone plays and its free. As you view the matches, try to anticipate what ball you would play next; kind of a proactive approach to watching.
Additionally, Dennis, in the recent past, has posted some of his IBC matches with Bobby Hunter. Again, a classic 14.1 technician and one of my favorites to watch. His patterns are clear, interesting, and informative to follow.
As a general observation of both players, notice how still they remain during the execution of each shot. This is an important component of their ability (consistent speed) to get the CB where it needs to be time after time. It is one thing to see where the ball needs to go and quite another to get it consistently there. Good runs are in many ways built with consistent CB speed and direction.

Love him or hate him Mike Sigel AccuStats 14.1 tapes from early 90's are a great learning tool. I have some from the 1992 14.1 US Open and he plays perfect patterns etc..etc....

In The Quest for 14.1 Knowledge

Dont get me wrong here, but i am by no means a beginner.

I Just like to educate myself by watching, And i agree that watching Mr Lipsky is very rewarding. He has taken his game to whole new level these days, as compared to How he used to play in the room we used to play out of.

What i am looking for really is to increase my collection of DVD's of 14.1, but i dont just want any tape. i want to watch something that will serve a purpose, thats why i asked for an explanation on as to why i should watch a certain match.

Weather it be great safety play, or pattern play. or if the guy really plays like a surgeon "Jose Garcia".

so please if you have any insight it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Steve
