Lots of APA Drama Lately

Typical pool players. Arguing the rules without having read them

The rule " Keep your hand to yourself " is embodied in the law. That's the rule. Unwanted touching is a crime.

Sure , you may break it all the time but it doesn't mean you have the right to put your hands on others when you want to. You absolutely don't.

Typical entitlement mentality.

You have less right to kick someone. A functioning human (go out and meet one sometime) would not escalate a hand on the shoulder from someone trying to get his attention to a kick of any sort.

Are you there guy who kicked Scott?

I have never argued the appropriateness of the response.

If the gentleman has turned around fast as a rattlesnake and punched him squaring the nose , he has no case.

He committed a battery and the punch was in response. Sore shoulder. PTSD. Sunburn. Thought I was being attacked. Whatever.

You do not have a right to go around touching people. OP committed the first wrong.

Anyone ever get kicked in the balls after winning a match? I guess it's the replacement for shaking hands, among the younger generation (I'm about 35 years older than the guy). I tried to shake hands with him after the match, and put my hand on his shoulder when he wouldn't turn around to acknowledge my presence, and...Wham! Well, I'm happy to say it wasn't a direct hit, but I was 'almost' too surprised to respond. He was a tiny guy and I'm not, so the response was mild but firm. I didn't see any point in mentioning the event to the league office, as he will now be eternally known in our league as "nut-kicker", which is probably punishment enough.

In any case, I look forward to my next TAP match. Vastly different experience.
Hey Scott, good to see you posting again (don't think I've seen you around for a while). Too bad it's under these circumstances and at the tail end of a slightly derailed thread.

Take care my friend, and maybe wear a cup to the next match.

Dave

She slid up against the booth where I was seated and placed her hand on my shoulder.
Had this been a male, as his hand moved down towards my nipple, my hand would have made contact just above the knee and moved in unison towards the jewels....
.Still Smiles. 🤷‍♂️

Only 2 incidents I had: once I was playing terrible and needed like 46 or 44 balls and he needed 1. I came back and won. He picked up the cb and threw it on the table it bounced off the table and hit a wall. I just walked away. He never apologized.

The other instance was an SL6/7 losing 8b to me 0-5 then the same guy had to play me 9b right after and towards the end he punched a wall behind me hard while I was shooting. I didn’t see it my teammates told me what that sound was. After he lost he put on a giant smile and shook my hand. Nice guy, thought the contrast was kinda funny. The 1 ball guy was crazy though.

Some people think that because trespassing is illegal they are within their rights to shoot and kill anyone who steps on their property. I don’t agree, but I’m not going to knock on their door to tell them.
They are..

this isn’t apa drama.. this is just a couple of idiots. This has nothing to do with the apa lol

So your not saying you "kicked in the balls after the rack, game"?

You are saying he literally kicked you in the balls (nuts!)?

F*#©k him. That's actually battery, against the law. Especially if he is known for it?

Why would you want that in your local league? Toxic poison, he is. No one in the league benefits from his behavior.

I would definitely tell the league operator, because that guy is going to cause a bar fight to break out.

Not good!

Well I guess touch football is out.

Inside leg kick is a valid technique. Even professionals sometimes kick each other in the nuts trying to execute it.

To some crotchety old pool player that isn't trained might think it was a cheap nut shot attempt but us trained guys know how lucky he is to walk away unscathed.
I seriously doubt this is the case. Fighters do not throw an inside leg kick without following it up with something. If you aren't using it as a sweep or to throw off balance, you are playing the long game with multiple kicks in the same area to wear them out. I believe the actual numbers are <2% of men train in martial arts. I am betting it was the real life version of throwing his gaming controller at the TV.

Missed this one. Now the nut kicker is a highly-trained, sunburned martial artist with PTSD.

Grow up. Nobody is advocating going around touching everybody. Nobody is saying this was handled 100% correctly, but if your reaction to a hand on the shoulder is to kick someone, you should stay away from people.

The guy should have left it at, 'don't ever touch me.'. You know, like a functioning adult.

I don't understand why this is so difficult. OP was wrong to put his hands on the Obviously Aggravated Opponent. Obviously Aggravated Opponent was wrong to kick him in the nuts.

Who is "more" at fault, or "more wrong" doesn't seem to be very important, other than for forum (not APA) drama.

Have we learned anything here today?

Psycho:
The name's Francis Sawyer, but everybody calls me Psycho. Any of you guys call me Francis, and I'll kill you.

Leon:
Ooooooh.

Psycho:
You just made the list, buddy. Also, I don't like no one touching my stuff. So just keep your meathooks off. If I catch any of you guys in my stuff, I'll kill you. And I don't like nobody touching me. Any of you homos touch me, and I'll kill you.

Sergeant Hulka:
Lighten up, Francis

I have learned that this is why Billiards has a negative stereotype attached to it. Idiots like this fighting over a game doesn't sit well with outside spectators. I got to say the person who did the kicking should be arrested, that's just something you don't do and is very offensive. There's probably more to this altercation than what has been talked about, but nonetheless, kicking somebody in the groin area is just plain uncivilized. What a lack of sportsmanship this story portrays, it tells me those who play pool are drunken jackasses.

Really? So people shouldn't be responsible for their actions? Give me a fucking break.
Of course, but bitching about people being drunk assholes at a bar is fucking dumb. Go to classier bars if that's not your thing.
