Louisiana players

How many AZers live and play in Louisiana? Where do you normally play?

Fasterd71465,

This is actually a good thread for EVERY STATE.

It would be a good way for those who are traveling to that state to know who might be available for a game of pocket billiards when they are visiting.

We should all get together sometime

We would have to gather some additional numbers to have a Louisiana style AZB tournament.

But yeah, that would be nice. I like it when I go to tournaments, especially in Louisiana when people come up to me and say, "You're JoeyA right? (they already knowing that I am because they asked BigTruck or someone else) I'm so and so from AZ Billiards". I try to remember the screen names and the real names but it is a lost cause for me. I have trouble remembering the screen names let alone their real names.

I travel around a bit and get to meet a lot of AZBers and while I'm writing this, please don't take it the wrong way, if you have met me previously and you see me at a later tournament and I fail to get into a good conversation with you and pick up where we last left off. I don't forget the faces that I see at tournaments but plenty of times, I forget where I know them from. If this is the early stages of Alzheimer, I'm ok with that. No one has called me any names for forgetting so far.:D It really is nice to meet up with other AZBers. I have entertained a lot of them here in New Orleans when they pass through, whether it be a friendly game of pool or something a little more competitive.

Anyway, I wish to thank all of the AZBers who were kind enough to give me a friendly hello over the years and hope that as my memory continues to fade and my skills diminish, you will continue to show me a little kindness, even if it is one of those . In the meantime, see you at the next tournament.

Love me some Joey at the Great White Diamonds tournament.

I first met Joey back in '05 at 2 Sisters months after Katrina. In fact me and ShootingArts met him there. Then I reunited with Joey again over the last year at the White Diamonds Super 9 ball tournament. As well finally met Little Stone Cold!!!!

Ive met quite a few Azer's over the years from Louisiana!

Did you forget you gave me 9/7 in Gulfport a few years ago.

Planning a trip to your area after the first of the year and looking forward to visiting Buffalo's and seeing you and Casey.

I'm 68 but still like to gamble high, problem though, too old to beat anyone, lol, usually play at Buffalo Billiards in Metairie even though I live in Thibodaux where there is ZERO action !

And fixin to be 69 sucker. You can come play at my house, then we'll take the wives out to dinner. Winner pays. Happy Birthday Hump.

Yeah, I guess my memory is fading faster than I thought. But if you said I gave you 9/7, I must have.

Casey and I will look forward to passing you around.

I'm in New Iberia and I play at Emerald billiards. Keith Hulin has a nice big place. I head north occasionally to white diamonds in lafayette. Most of the time it's just to see Chris Miller do the calcutta. He is entertaining to say the least. lol

They will be passing me around at Red Shoes in Chicago later this month, but I will have time to save up a few S/S checks for you guys.

I will play The Ghost (The player named Bruce) on the 24/25th. They may stream it.

That guy moves like a ghost. It may be hard to catch him on a stream. I am still working so I will make sure those S/S checks keep coming.

I just moved to Lafayette, and I'm still learning my way around, but my home room is Fast Eddie's. Jeez, there are a lot of pool rooms here! This is my kind of town!

I am going to white diamonds for my first time next month and was just wondering what the atmosphere is like. I've been to Louisiana a few times and can say it seems as it can be a little shady in parts.

I need to catch up with you and play a few games. Get acquainted and learn a few things. I won't be ready for the White Diamond tournament next month, but I hope to be able to play in the spring without embarrassing myself.

White diamonds is very laid back. Very friendly crowd and rarely gets an idiot starting drama.

Lots of inhouse league. In fact Ill be there tonight for SLAPP league.

Good food. Pretty decent tables. Best 8 n 9 footers in town.
