the most important skill a designer designing to a brief is catering to the clients wishes and taste. i'd say a good 80% of the submissions did not take into consideration 1. what lee had asked for. 2. how it could possibly be manufactured 3. how it would look on a 1/4" scale on a cue
the winner had considered all of these points and submitted a successful logo. lee had asked for a simple 'mark' with the letters lp on it. if people 'designed' some swirly pictures with tons of work in it and didnt win... well, unfortunately amount of time spent does not always equal results.
congrats to the winner and i think it was quite a good choice - will need something like 10 minutes work to clean it up and balance it out but thats just formalities.
