Im just starting to learn 3 cushion billiards. Im not too familiar with Carom cues and what would be a good inexpensive cue to start out with. Id like to stay around $100 to $150 as I dont have a lot of money to spend. I can also trade a Pred BK1 with a 314 shaft if anyone wants that option as well. Any suggestions or offers Im open to. Whats good and whats out there?

Thanks

Tony

Hey Tony..i am going through this as well trying to up grade my cue..
I know for sure you need a 3C cue to play this game better..my son
also wants to play..i am in the middle of a trade deal for a rather
expensive Dieckman and older Helstetter Combo..about 2k in this deal..
i also just purchase a DC butterfly from ebay for a total of 90 bucks for
my son to play with..its Euro tappered with a 13mm tipp..probabably
about as good as it gets for a entry level cue..but keep in mind that if
you decide to continue to play and want to upgrade these monsters make
great break cues as well..or if you want to play 3C with a freind..if your
interested let me know..i hit this cue and it is solid..i think it a half spliced
cue..nice for the money..of course alot of the low end 3C cues are decal
type cues..though they play alright..this one a good step above them and
they are still approching 100 bucks..take care..Randy..614-205-3474

well

u don´t get much of a cue on that range of price.
the 3C cue must have a solid hit and a very stiff shaft.
if u now spend 100$ on a cue ( i doubt u can even with only one shaft ) in a few months u are going to fell that it´s not good enought for u and u will try to replace it ... so u gonna spend the money twice.
my advice is : try to buy a good cue wright away ...
I´ve got 2 Layani ( 4 carom shaft + 1 pool shaft) and they are fantastic . Thierry Layani is a great guy and can sell u a very good cue with 2 shaft for a good price ... but less than $300 with no inlay for sure.
Just check is website.
Other alternative : Schuler,Adam, Longoni but for me Layani forever.
Compliments
