Lucasi Hybrid help

A buddy asked me to fix a Lucasi hybrid shaft that his buddy gave him. Actually he gave him the whole cue. The guy was burnishing the tip with a tool and the whole ferrule snapped off. My questions are, how is their ferrule attached? and what material is the ferrule, and is it available?
The shaft looks like there was a small tenon and a alignment shoulder. There was some chalk on the shoulder which suggests that the glue was failing and only the small tenon held it together then it snapped. Any help appreiciated.

I had one snap Dave, and the tenon is ultra small/thin. At the end I just returned the whole shaft....After that I have not worked that mutch with these shafts.

They sure like building them to fail. :grin-square:
And deaden the feel of the cue.
Complete with a thick wrap.
Kinda the opposite of how others make their cues.
