Hi guys, I am looking to buy a new cue, not sure between the Lucasi Hybrid and the Players HXT, I am an intermiedate player. Are there big differences? Which one perform better?

Thanks a lot

I've played with both and to be honest, there's not too much of a difference on how they play (the shafts)
Are you looking at buying a whole cue or just the shaft?

Thanks. I was thinking about the HXT64 with rubber wrap.
The HXT comes with the kamui black, and the Lucasi with the kamui original, any difference with that?
The laminated shaft from Lucasi will give better LD over the HXT?

There made by same company so both will play same get one of the hxt line there great cues for the money my favorite model is the hxt 99

Agreed. They both play well. Lucasi is the more expensive "high end" cue.
The Players hxt line is extremely good for the money though. I've had 2 of them and loved both.
As far as the hxt vs hybrid shafts, it's all subject to personal opinion. Same goes for tip selection as well.
What are you shooting with now?

I am shooting with a cheap maple ORCA SII.
I am looking to buy a nice cue that will improve my game, between Players HXT64 and Lucasi Hybrid
L-H40 are 100 $ difference and that still fit my budget, but is the Lucasi worth the extra money?

If you want to improve your game, a cue isn't enough.
Play more, spend the $$ on a lesson, or play a couple cheap sets with someone local (pressure is a great life lesson in pool).
As for as those cues your looking at, it's all personal preference.
I'd say get the hxt, and with that $100 go for a lesson with a local pro.
Just my .02

I am looking to play a lot more, because i also purchased a pool table, 3pcs 25,4mm slate, massive wood, pro rubber k66, it's a nice table.
I already play well, I would say that I am and advanced intermediate player.
I don't really have in mind to take lessons.
If you don't consider the budget wich would you pick?

My main playing cue is a Lucasi with a standard maple shaft (stock from them)
It really is personal preference though.

It seems you already prefer L.
If the playability is the same and there is a big price difference, to me the result is quite obvious.
I have a hxt and it is a nice cue.

I do not prefer Lucasi, the question was if is worth it the extra money.
Not just as playbility, but overall quality....
The shaft seems to be almost the same, but what about the grip, balance, durability, and so on....???
