Lucasi LPXS Pinnacle CF Shaft

it seems the introduction of the new CF shaft from Lucasi was a non-event. No big announcement that I could find. It doesn’t even show up on their website. However, Cue&Case claims to have them in stock. I expected a big announcement with a bunch of marking claims to jumpstart sales. As it stands now, it is just another $500 CF shaft in the rack!

Does anyone know anymore about this shaft than what I’ve stated?

These were originally supposed to have come out last fall. From their FB page...

Lucasi Hybrid

aaaaaaaaand we're back! 😆🎉
It's happening! Lucasi Pinnacle Carbon Fiber shaft is coming June 2021. Limited stock available in Uni-loc 12.5mm configuration to start and 11.75mm slim shaft version coming September 2021. Contact your Lucasi dealer and reserve yours today!
PS: Lucasi Lux cue of the month is also making a comeback Q3 2021 🥳

I seriously doubt this shaft breaks any new ground tech wise. It looks like a Cuetec with that ferrule. Wouldn't surprise me if they're using same cf supplier. I'm still surprised that prices have stayed so high on these shafts.

I have a Lucasi LZC39 butt with a Predator 314-3 shaft. I am very happy with the combination, but I had the itch to try a CF shaft. For no particular reason I decided to wait to see Lucasi’s CF shaft. Well, now it is announced and I can find no compelling reason to buy it over any other good CF shaft that offers a Uni-loc joint!

Bumping an old 5 year old thread, in hopes of any reviews on the Lucasi Pinnacle CF shaft, as this is the only thread I found, asking about them.

Are they on the same level (quality wise) as the Cuetec Cynergy, for example? Any better? Any worse? I understand, it is all personal opinion, but I still love to read reviews.

Thanks a lot for any thoughts, if you have ever tried one.

By the way, I see the Pros are playing with the Lucasi Hybrids (Kielwood with Carbon Core), instead of this CF shaft, and I wonder why.

Go buy a Raven Pro fro 250bux and quit worrying about this shit. Why would you base any equip. choice on what any pro uses? Lucasi is just another tube buyer/assembler. Way overpriced.

I get the feeling that you think they are all Chinese made Junk. Is the Raven any better then the Rhino for example? I never tried either of them. I have only tried a few CF shafts in the past. A few customs, and a Jacoby Black, and a Whyte Carbon. The Whyte Carbon felt like it was on another level. It hit so amazing. I can't hold onto a $600 shaft though. Even if they all are made from the same cheap tubes, the cue makers must be doing something to them to make them feel, and hit different from each other. My 1st experience with a CF shaft, I hated, and I never thought I would like any CF shaft. Then I tried the Jacoby Black, and was very pleasantly surprised. Those Seconds / flawed ones, on ebay, are complete garbage though. Then I tried the Whyte Carbon, and it blew me away. Never felt so much power, and feedback, and control, off of the cue ball. I honestly felt like a different player, with that shaft.

Anyways, I was asking about the Lucasi, because I found one for a very deep discount, from a dealer. If they really suck though, then that would be a bummer.

I tried one of the Lucasi KW hybrids. I found the finish to be somewhat "tacky" for lack of a better word.
🤷

Oh, there should be no finish on any maple or kielwood shaft, lol. Maybe Kielwood, but I did not know that, if that is the case. I know that their Maple Custom, and Hybrid shafts hit super nice though. I would never want one of those Carbon Core Hybrid shafts though. I assume they might hit similar to the Mezz Hybrid Pro 2, for example, which I really did not like.

Could have been a one off, but I didn't care for the "texture" of the shaft at all. I don't know if the one I hit with had been toyed with after the fact, or if it came that way from the factory, so take my comments with a grain of salt.

As for the Raven Pro shafts that were mentioned, if you use discount code: cueman_86, qman_86, or alternative Code: Josh at checkout, I believe they are good for 10% off your order.
😎👍
