I've had my lucasi now for about 3 years and just recently I start feeling the rings in the collar by running my finger across it Does anyone know what could have cause this?

I assume you are talking about the stitch rings with metal bands above and below, in which case as with all metal rings they eventually will pop through the finish. This is caused by the expansion/shrinkage rate of metal as compared to wood and as time passes it eventually causes the rings to be felt.
