Made a stand for my case

Hey guys and gals. I posted in the wanted/for sale section a few days ago looking for a case with a stand. I am very carful with my cues but when at tournaments, I see and hear more cues hitting the floor and just don't like the idea of my cue getting bumped to the floor. Well, I got no replies. Went online searching and found a 3/5 for $150 shipped. No 3/6, 3/7/ or 4/8. I currently have a 3/7 and it gets full from time to time as I take shafts home and re-tip for folks. So I didn't want to go down to a 3/5 case. I had to put on my thinking cap and came up with this idea. It works perfectly. It is stable. Legs fold in so they are not in the way while carrying. And best of all, I get to use my same case and it didn't cost me but a few dollars and time. However, if I would have had to buy the legs I made from the one piece house sticks, I would have about $60 in this set-up. I got the cues with the table I bought last year and never used them one time. :smile:
My son said I should make and sell these to other people??????? We shall see...
 
That looks nice! Are the shafts low deflection? What kind of tips are you using and are they soft, medium or hard? :D

But, I have to ask... Is this a better alternative to keeping your cues on a cue claw type device and your case up against a wall or under the table? This seems like it takes up a lot of space.

Thanks. I have tried the claw. It is ok but still just don't like the idea of cue being leaned up. It really doesn't take up much room. No more than a person standing. The place I play out of has poles and walls to sit it right against. I have seen those little clamp things that hold the cues but they sure are pricey. Also, I have my cue extension, tip pick, extra chalk, powder pouch, etc. in my cue case. Don't want to have to go across room to get anything out of case if I need something.
