Made it to Vegas for Mcup 🧡🧡

I didn’t go
Woke up feeling horrible, sore throat. Had a headache for a couple days 2 days ago. I don’t know…..I’ll be fine.
Just about back in LA.
Was the most fun I ever had at a Mcup in America for sure possibly ever. Sitting with Billy Thorpe & his crew was just great. Fun guys I’m very glad to have met the crew.
We squeezed as much as we could out of it and didn’t give Europe a walk. They earned it. Congrats to them. Hopefully next year we got something for them!
Was great seeing so many friends there the last 3 days. Enjoyed dinners with old friends and some new. One thing I can say with zero doing is the pool family I’m America is alive, well and strong as ever. I take comfort in that. It’s the life I chose.
I’m proud of our team, and the rail, everything but the damned purple 5.

That is how i felt. During the summer i got a soar throat and feeling tired. This never happens. turned out to be covid ....I have to get tested 100%

Another reason I didn’t want to go today. Not cool to be around so many people if there’s even a small chance I have it. And I have more than a small chance.
I could have forced myself to go, wasn’t to far to walk, I was up and ready-but decided to come home. I told the hotel I mite have it, so they could properly clean the room.
I’m not perfect, but I am responsible.

As for the illness, I, too have been ill with Covid symptoms several times now over the past 2 years. Twice I tested positive. Other times I had similar symptoms and did not bother getting tested. The 'treatment' and outcome is the same whether it's Covid or something similar. Luckily for me, only once were the symptoms severe enough to require medical intervention. At that point, it really didn't matter if the underlying cause was Covid, since the symptoms were treated, and not the underlying cause.
Just saying, unless a test is required for air travel or international travel, don't think I'd bother in the future with the testing.

I’m ok today. Sore throat is about it. I’m not worried about it. I slept 11 hours last night +/- that helped a lot. I’ll be fine. The cold dry air in Vegas is just brutal for me, I lived there more than 20 years and never adapted to it.
