Yes, as you pointed you've got the "majors" in 9-ball (World 9-ball, US Open 9-ball and China Open 9-ball), but then you've got all the other disciplines that make up pool like 10-ball, 8-ball, one-pocket, straight pool that have majors that have not been accounted for. It might be an oversimplification for pool but usually having the most major titles contributes to that individual as being known as the "best", "greatest" or whatever, for example-Yes, those are the rotational pool majors and good job on the tabulations for the men. On the women's side, you'd have to include things like the Amway Cup, the BCA Open and the WPBA Nationals, which are all indisputable majors, to be more accurate, but you've still come up with a good list.
Of course, some of those listed won WPA sanctioned world championships in other disciplines, especially in the straight pool era. My best guess is that Sigel won about four in straight pool. The US Open 14.1 was also a major for sure, Mizerak won many of them, including four in a row, along with his world championships in 14.1.
Nice post!
Most major titles-
Golf:
1. Jack Nicklaus- 18 Majors.
2. Tiger Woods- 15 Majors.
3. Walter Haugen- 11 Majors.
Tennis:
1. Rafael Nadal- 22 Majors.
2. Novak Djokovic- 21 Majors.
3. Roger Federer- 20 Majors.
Snooker:
1. Ronnie O'Sullivan- 21 Majors.
2. Stephen Hendry- 18 Majors.
3. Steve Davies- 15 Majors.
Who has the most Majors if you account for all disciplines of pool? I guess it's a rhetorical question.
