MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - A Maryville man was arrested Thursday for threatening people with a snake, according to police.

Kennon Trey Fitzgerald, 22, was charged with public intoxication after police said they responded to a report of a man threatening people with a snake at Maryville Billiards on E. Broadway Avenue in Maryville.

When officers arrived, witnesses told them Fitzgerald appeared to be intoxicated and was threatening people with his snake before he left on foot down Sevierville Road.

Officers were then called to a home on Kittrell Avenue for a domestic disturbance. When they got to the home, officers said they found Fitzgerald arguing with his mother. Officers said Fitzgerald appeared to be intoxicated. There was also a snake on the porch.

Fitzgerald was released on a $1,000 bond and will appear in court on Tuesday morning.

Gosh, I don't see why they don't have a bounty progam subsidized through the US Fish & Wildlife
Agency funded thru new legislation for all burmese and rock pythons captured or killed in Florida.

The same is true of the millions of Feral hogs that could be used to feed the needy and homeless.
In regard the snake bounty, it is drastically needed and no hunting restrictions either. It is an invasive
species & needs to be eliminated through harvesting 365 days a year until the species is eradciated.

Indigenous specis to the Everglades are being wiped out and these snakes are the underlying cause.
If there is a current bounty program, then raise the amount because the snakes are winning the fight.

Slaughter those wild hogs and protect farm lands, crops and livestock while at the same time feeding
the indigent and homeless. A hog can yield an awesome amount of meat and a federal program to
harvest them is needed. If you are skeptical, just ask people residing in Florida & the sourthern regions

All this takes is some common sense legislation at the federal level since multiple states are affected
and a lot of people would not go hungry and a lot of snakeskin would be available for cue wraps, cases,
boots, wallets, etc. It just makes sense why is exactly why Washington, DC will never do anything.
