Make a deal for a 3k cue and then....

No seller is going to back out of a 3K deal on a cue, unless

unless the deal involved a trade, not a 100% cash deal, which is the only thing that makes sense.
If we had to rely on only known AZ members to buy $3000 cues we would be dead. New buyers in the secondary market is what we need, and is really what the $3000 cue
market is all about, especially on AZ Billiards.
It's more common for me to sell an expensive cue to a newbie than an old timer.

So as I stated before I wasn't really in the market for another cue but fell in love with this one so I made a deal. I wanted to send him $1500 friends and family and $1500+fees as a purchase, the reason for the $1500 as purchase was just so I could us my PP credit and slow pay for 6 months interest free. I was and still am willing to send it before he ships it, I figure I'm taking the most risk on him not even sending the cue out and pocketing my $1500. I have done a couple deals on here and facebook open billiards market, so now I will go back in and ask these az'ers I did deals with to leave me feedback. I can understand his slight risk on me saying something is wrong with my purchase but I have dealt with PP 100's of times as I own a business that does 300k+ a year on ebay. There would be a very slim chance I could say something was wrong with the purchase and keep the cue and get the $1500 back ( I'm talking like less then a 1% chance).

Trent I've texted you 3 times now to no response! I'll just wait till the derby and buy them for $125 now. Also the deal for the cue was to send half the money PP F&F ($1500) and half as a purchase and I pay the fee on top. Was trying to get away with using my paypal credit for half of it and slow pay for the 6 months interest free lol I have over 2k in feedback on my business paypal and some how he thinks I could scam not only him but Paypal for the $1500 purchase side.

To everyone who has a cue for sale what do you got? I like Josey, Carmeli, Gilbert and Barnhart. I'm not really in the market but if I fall in love with a cue I will always make room for it.

so let me get this straight ? the guy with only 1 itrader won't sell to someone with no itrader ????? makes absoutely no sense.

The seller probably just wanted to be paid in full before shipping
the cue out. That's the only thing that would make any sense to
me. No seller is going to back out of a 3K deal on a cue, unless
he has another buyer or is having seller's remorse on a cue. If
you pay 1st, then he'll ship it, that's probably the bottom line here.

I was on the other side of this last week. I have 35 positive iTraders
and no negative ones. I agreed to buy a cue off of someone who
didn't have any iTraders on here. He insisted that I pay 1st. I said
no way, but gave him a few options. Send the cue and then I pay,
send the cue COD, or use an escarole service. The seller turned
down all 3 options, so there was no way I was going to pursue that
deal any longer. Just too much risk with all the scammers and crooks
out there.

since when have you ever received goods first without paying for them.f(thats usually called theft.) that's just bad business for any seller. nice to know how you deal.

He was saying that since the seller had 0 itrader feedbacks (and he has 35, with 0 negatives), that he would like the seller to ship the item 1st, and then he would paypal the money (I assume) after he received the item in the mail.

He also gave the seller (with 0 itrader) the option of shipping the item via COD (cash on delivery), but with that option, the shipper has to pay an extra COD fee, and then after the receiver received the item, the shipper has to wait for the Money order to be mailed to them.

It takes a lot of trust to deal with anyone online, that you do not know. Most people are good I think, but you never know who the good ones are. I think the itrader feedback system is a good system, to build up trust.

Back when I had a very low itrader feedback, and I wanted to do a trade, I always had to ship my item to the other trader (who had a good feedback on here) 1st, and then after they received the item, and was happy, then they shipped the trade that I wanted out to me. I had to do that many times over the years, if I really wanted to do a trade on this forum.

No I didn't blast the guy that did this to me, I wanted opinions on if I was the nutty one or him. As far as trent (the guy I think you are referring to that has 1 feedback) he was selling some balls locally in my town on here and I tried to make a deal that he couldn't meet to.

The issue I had was just weird, the cue I wanted was for sale on Ebay and if I would have just bought it on there the seller would have no choice but to sell to me as a purchase. So we made a deal off Ebay and he was saving all the Ebay fees and still backed out on me. I know the market right now is soft for the higher end cues, so me trying to spend 3k on one most sellers would have drove it to me for that lol

Was there an issue or something in the terms of the deal that brought this upon? I just feel there is something missing here...

I have had to ship to a few guys that I specifically did not want to do business with before as they bought it off my website and I would double and triple check things to make sure I dotted my I's & crossed my T's...

I have about 40 cues for sale on my website if you would like to take a look, I will make you a nice deal.
