Make Your Valley, Global, or other play better

If you have a Valley, Global, or other brands of 7’ or 8’ table and want it to play much, much better, get some Ridgeback Rails for it. I bought my first set over a year ago. I got the standard 4 ½” corner openings for my 30+ year old Valley. I got them because I was beating the 9-ball ghost w/o bih in races over 7. As soon as I put the Ridgebacks on I had problems beating the ghost with bih. No more balls going in that hit the rail with any kind of speed. If you put a lot of spin on the ball and it hits any part of the rail ends it almost always gets rejected. The table banks like a dream with the Ridgebacks and you can go around the table knowing they are consistent all the time. No more Valley clunck either.

I bought another set a few weeks ago and had them extended for 4” pockets (all 6). There was nothing wrong with the standard Ridgeback’s, they just got too easy for me. These new 4” rails play like a dream also. If I owned Valley I’d have an option of these 4” rails for the better players or players that wanted to get better. Johnnyt

Thanks for the recommendation! I have an , embarassed to say :o, 7' Imperial table I picked up localy to throw in the basement for practice. Unfortunately thats all I could afford after purchasing a house for the first time...

I have to get it refelted, leveled and hopefully change the rails as you can hear a thumping on the short rails. I looked at Ridgeback website and they had rails for Dynamo and Murray listed. Do you have any knowledge if either would do for an Imperial table?

Here is a link to the table with specs.....

Ridgebacks...

JT, good to see you seem to be on the mend... It ain't so easy at our age:)

I wasn't as brave as you when I got my ridgebacks, but even the standard size holes do a pretty good job of keeping a guy honest!

Like you, I have no problem tossing out an "atta boy" for the ridgebacks. Along with a decent rag on top they do a great job of turning a Valley into a different animal.

Was your early review that sent me their way... Thanks for that!

Bob

I went to the website, and the order page only has options for Dynamo, Valley and Murrey 7' tables. Which ones would fit a Global?

A buddy of mine is redoing the Global table in the local bar soon and I was wondering if these rails would be a good option for him. They seem a bit cheaper than what Global is quoting too.

Thanks,

Mike

There is a place on Ridgebackrails.com to send a message to Kerry to ask him, or just call him. I'm pretty sure he can help you out. Johnnyt

I thought Global was one of the table brands he made rails for. Send Kerry a message from his website or call him. I'm sure he can make them. Johnnyt

If you have the rails off or/and the slate off make sure the ( 8 ) 9 1/16" bolts that hold the chrome corners on are good and tight. If they ae loose put new lock-washers on them before you tighten then...very important. Johnnyt
