Man Arrested for Neglecting Kids to Play Pool

He got stuck for a few hundred playing partners 8ball, and was trying to get even, which is tough action at 2-bucks a head

Here is a "Mom" with the same kind of priorities!

I would have the opposite issue, I'd be arrested for taking the 4 and 7 yr old to the pool hall with me.

Although I don't get this "He was also charged with failing to provide the necessities of life."

He had pool and beer clearly available. That's "succeeding" with providing those not failing.

Sad, but could've been preventable.

I've known couples that played together, after having kids, to end up playing different nights so at least one parent is taking care of the kid/s. On weekends, its not uncommon to see baby carriages at the local pool hall during leagues.

You guys are hilarious.

My wife sent me the link to the article, probably as some kind of a warning.

You guys might of missed the "key item" in the police charges..."failure to provide"..."what does a medium pizza and a pool player have in common"??? NEITHER ONE CAN FEED A FAMILY OF FOUR!!!

all you guys are having fun with this but in 1975 I was playing a guy that had his three kids with him ages 10 to 5 while we were playing the kids ask for something to eat he said they would have to wait later the same thing later he said he was broke I had won about thirty the 3 kids ask again and he told them he had lost all he had I knew the man and knew he had not fed the kids and they would have to go without I told the other guys to keep him there and i went to a fast food place and bought buggers fries and drinks for the kids the owner of the pool hall bared the guy a few weeks later the county took the kids true story sorry for the rant but men should take care of family first

So sad

I love kids and detest parents that don't put them first. Kids don't get to pick their parents. If they could there would be a bunch more childless families.

There's a lot to be learned from this.... How could the guy be careless enough to let someone find his kids? Lock them in the basement or something. This is simply appalling.

If you duct tape them to a chair, they can't harm anything or themselves.

Wow, this is unbelievable.

Every responsible parent knows that if you want to go play pool but you have a 4-year-old and a 7-year-old you're supposed to take them to the poolroom with you.
