Hi Members,

Just had a great conversation with Tony at Jacoby authorized me to share details on the new Jacoby Edge Ultra Pro & Super Pro Shafts.
The 64 piece Jacoby Edge Hybrid shaft has been discontinued making way for the 140 piece Jacoby Edge Ultra Pro shafts.

Jocoby's new Edge Ultra Pro features 140 Piece Veneer shaft, Hydex 202 Ferrule and comes standard with a Tiger Everest tip.Available in the Edge Ultra Pro 12.75mm or the Edge Ultra Super Pro 11.75mm.

Jacoby say's the Edge Ultra Pro will be more consistent, a little stiffer and a great improvement over the current Edge Hybrid or any other shaft on the Market.

The Edge Ultra Pro will be available with the following Joints:
Radial in Black or Double White Collar
5/16 14 Schon Single Silver Collar
5/16 14 Joss
5/16 14 Jacoby
5/16 14 Pechauer
5/16 18 Meucci
5/16 18 Viking
Uni-loc Predator Single Silver Ring
Uni-loc Lucasi Black Collar
3/8 10 Mcdermott
3/8 10 jacoby

This new shaft will be released to the public April 15, 2018.
Standard Joint will be $280 and Uni-Loc Joints will be $290.

I really like my Jacoby Hybrid. Surprised they are discontinuing it and not just adding the new one. 140 pieces....at what point does the shaft become more glue than wood?

Hopefully when this is released the price of current stock hybrids will go down

I like Mezz's approach to using CF. Using it as a core material with wood around it makes for a GREAT playing shaft that still feels and sounds like solid wood.

I just ordered a new Jacoby cue and it is coming with 2 of their new Edge shafts. I am anxious to try them out. I really liked the original Edge Hybrid and am currently using a Predator 314-3 shaft. Not sure how the new shaft is not coming out until April 14th because my new cue is supposed to be delivered in a few days.
