The above post doesn't apply here because Shane did not attend the players meeting. But to answer your question, yes the players were told they had to actually call the ten ball. Rodney Morris certainly did not have a problem understanding that rule because he called it when playing Efren on the stream table.

Exactly. Shane did not find out what the rules were before his first match. Can't blame anyone else for that except himself. I also stated in my post that Rodney Morris understood the rules so it wasn't due to a language barrier or anything.
