Manwon, excellent work on my Alex Brick!

HI all, I picked up my Alex Brick cue from Manwon tonight (Craig, at Full Splice Billiards in Tacoma, WA), who restored it beautifully! The ebony nose has life now, with beautiful chatoyance that before was barely noticeable. The purpleheart points really do have grain. The silver rings are bright and shiny. The ferrule on one of the shafts really looks like ivory now...not the lame scratched up/gouged ferrule it was before Craig fixed it.

Just to let you know, when I got this Brick, it appeared to have been refinished badly...a really shoddy job. We also found out that whoever did the wrap used a synthetic material instead of leather. yuk. I don't think Alex Brick would have appreciated the way his cue was treated.

Anyway, Craig did a fantastic job getting it beautiful... and now it even plays better than before :D . I will be taking my Huebler to him as well...I can't wait to see how that one will turn out!

Craig does local work only, and so if you're in the Seattle/Tacoma/Western WA areas, go see him at his place, Full Splce Billiards. I think you will be pleased (if not totally impressed) by the work that he does and the wealth of knowledge he has about cues.

...and Craig did a great job with an old Hoppe Pro I had, matching the shaft up at the joint and refinishing, plus tipping another shaft. Might seem like run-of-the-mill stuff, but Craig does superior work and I wouldn't hesitate to let him do anything with my cues.
