To be fair to Cao - who's a good player btw - you don't always know whether you've pushed the ball or not. You feel something isn't quite right, but are not always sure it's definitely a foul, hence his look to the referee for clarification. Given the occasion etc, I can see why he said nothing. I don't believe he deliberately cheated.

It's also quite difficult for the ref to see, as it happens quickly, with balls moving all over the place. I used to absolutely detest reffing - hiding to nothing.
 
I think it's a pathetic display. Every time he opens his mouth, something slimy crawls out. If he doesn't like the conditions he should consider another career. But wait. Oh yeah, he's making boatloads of money, so he would be a fool to quit. Gee, I wonder how that came to be?

He's just a young fellow with a publicist who thinks controversy will make him well known. It's bad for the game.

i watched the interview, and the game just prior. american sportsman say things much, much worse.
