Marking Sardo Rack Spots on a table

I just received my Sardo M-3000 rack today, and it didnt come with any thing to put on the table for markers. Does anyone have a idea for what I can use to lay the rack down in the exact same spot everytime? Would magic marker be out of line? Thanks guys!

A sharpie, fine point or a ball-point pen should work. Just give it some time to dry.

I used a fine point sharpie to mark the center. I also put the 1 on the spot before I put the rack over it.

I don't know the model number of the Sardo racks I have used, but on those I remember that there was a pointer or a locator of some kind at each side of the rear of the rack for positioning. They aligned with two very small white dots on the table made with some kind of a white marker. Once you get the rack positioned in just the right spot, then you make the marks on the table. I don't think anyone ever noticed the marks at all except while racking.

Is it supposed to work without the "cloth training" that they recommended in the past? If your cloth is not new, you may need to be sure it can work correctly in the spot you are placing it before you mark it with any permanence.
