Marlon or Efren?

Played out exactly how I expected.

Go back to some of my earlier posts and you'll see it played out exactly as I stated. Let me say why I thought this.

Manalo was playing prefectly until the last round, unstopable right? WEll that was because the two people he most respects as players, Django and Efren, hadn't played him yet.

As I have stated in the past, at this level they can play perfect pool, it just depends on their mindset and concentration. Mindset is the most difficult thing to get into if you are playing against players that you don't feel you should be able to beat. I know, this limited my game for too many years.

I knew that at this stage with Efren warmed up that he could only be beat by django or Marlon, but my money was on Efren against Marlon because of the amount of respect MArlon has for Efren and Django. Same thing with Marlon, I knew the only people that could beat him were Django and Efren and my money was on Marlon to lose those matches, or atleast against Efren.

I had it coming down to who won between Marlon and Efren as going on to the final and that's exactly what happened.

Now, that we have Efren against Mike Sigel, we have the same problem as was between Marlon and Efren, but in reverse. The person that Efren most respects in this game is Mike Sigel, so this is a toss up. My money is still on Efren, but there's no telling what's going to happen and it's going to be an interesting match no matter what.

Yeah, but Manalo has defeated Efren before. Respect is one thing, being intimidated is another. I think Manalo just got shaken by his loss to Bustamante. Yet, his performance was something pool fans don't see every day, year, or decade...

Anyways, I think the match btw Efren and Sigel is all about Sigel. Meaning, wether he's on his top form or somewhere near. THEN, it will be a toss up.
