Just wanted to give Marop a shout out. He posts on this board (he's also had about a 90 in the straight pool challegne) and he's playing in the world champs also.

His real name is Bob Marsopulus and he's won two matches already. He just lost a close match to Chris Lynch, I believed he miss cued with and open table needing a rack with Chris on 98.

Congrats mate.

I think Stu, just lost to Jerry, like a few of us here he's full of cold and looks like death warmed up! :eek:
 
Hey Craig, don't mean to hijack the thread, but what's up with Michael Felder? It looks like he's 0-4 so far in one of the more "average" brackets... he had a good tournament last year.

Has he not been playing?

Yeah, I saw Marop at the BCA event at the Riviera, too. Supernice guy who, I sense, is enjoying this experience in much the same way I am.

He was warming up on table next to me in my last match so I think he's been playing? :confused:

Marop certainly is a super nice guy.

I'm playing ordinary but I think I just qualified. I did get a little excited last night though, I started a run at -2 but managed to butcher a positional shot on 58 with a perfect break ball. Only 3 racks fro the high run!!! :mad:

Play Hatch tonight for 3rd spot.
