I have decided to offer my MasonH to someone who will be able to use it for what it's worth! :) I have a new Lebow on the way and need some room in my case.
Here is the original info from Mason Himself.....

"brand new cue, test hit by me only.the forearm and butt are Cooktown Ironwood, which is a rare wood from Australia that is at 19% moisture in the ground.search about the tree and it is very interesting.it is very hard, dense and heavy wood.

the handle is 4-5A Quilted Maple with very nice motion figure, can't photograph it but it looks cool when the hits it at different angles, the figure moves around.

the cue weighs 19.1 and 19.2oz,both shafts have yellow micarta ferrules and are very nice, ring count high on both 20rpi and 30+rpi,one has a Black Kamui soft and the other is a Milk Dud,both are 12.9mm."

This Cue is awesome in person! I had Jim make a matching set of JP's which Mason sent him the ringwork so it matched! I have tried to take many different pictures of the 3D looking Maple but never seem to catch the in person WOW effect :( I have hit a few racks with it maybe six ( I don't let a cue go un-hit! )
I would say it is on the stiffer side... I liked it, made me hit softer because I could feel everything!
Not really wanting to let this go sense he is no longer making them :( but I have my dream on the way :D
Cue is 99% no flaws or defects just can't rate it 100% because I used it :) I will never sell a 100% cue!
Pictures will be up in a second so hang tight!

Selling for $SOLD shipped and insured within the USA yes I can ship overseas but you are responsible for all shipping and insurance cost!

Any question please pm me!

hits like?

Does the hit feel different than others? For example, I have a kingwood cue that just hits a lil different than anything else.
It's a beauty, and it's tempting!

It's hard to say really the "HIT" as far as I am concerned is in the eye of the beholder! It will feel different to everyone..... I think that it is a firm hit with the old growth shaft. I have only hit with one shaft the other is still un-hit.

I own a Masonh and its hits great. Can't go wrong with his cues.

Great price too :)

The wood affects the hit, so unless a cue maker cores his cues with the same wood, they're all going to hit a little different. (And even if a cue is cored, the outside wood and the glue will change the hit.) That is to say, African blackwood is going to hit differently than maple and ebony is going to hit differently than cocobolo.

Dense woods like ebony and blackwood are going to hit similarly. I've got two MasonH cues, one in rosewood and one in African blackwood, and while the style of hit (firm, like a SW) is the same, the "feel" of each is a bit different from the other.

Mason makes an awesome cue. I love both of mine, and it'd be tough for me to get rid of either one. Whoever get this one will be a happy player!

Hi there. Is this cue still available. If so, please work with me via PM. I sent you one yesterday.

Thanks and good luck.

exactly

Exactly. I wish I had enough experience with cues to know how different woods and construction methods make the hit feel. All I know is that my kingwood Capone feels unlike anything else, even other Capones. And it has great aesthetics. I'm just wondering how much of it is the kingwood and if other kingwood cues have a unique feel....
Thanks,
Karl
