We just posted a picture of masse' cues in progress on our site. I'm trying real hard to have them ready for delivery by Christmas.

You can see the cues at http://www.crowncues.biz/new.html#progress

Scroll up to see all our other pool cues. We have playing cues, masse' cues, and children's cues. We also have other cues in progress, but they will not be ready before Christmas.

For anyone who is curious, the cues in progress are also eligible for our holiday sale that ends on Cyber Monday night.

Does the 2nd from the left have my name on it? Might be interest. Will you be showing any playing cue in progress? Hope to meet you in Pa during March.

We're hoping to meet up with you in March, too.

Does that 2nd cue from the left need to have your name on it? If so, I guess it does. Just let us know. Any idea how heavy you're gonna want your cue?

I have been working on some playing cues for the Super Billiards Expo, but I don't think I'm going to have any ready before then.

I think Renee' is about to take some pics of some finished kids cues and get them online.

PM or Email me a price on # 2 Masse Cue progress. Weight 28oz. 3/4" Standard Ivorine ferrule ,no ring 14mm, Tip - Moori unless I can get an Everest.

Quick question. Is it a must for all your cues to have that crown design? Do you make cues without the crown cut? Is that an extra charge?
Thanks,

That is a very good question. While other cuemakers might have a specific design or logo on their cues, I put the crown in all my cues and the first one is free. There is only one Crown Cue without a crown originally built into it.

Renee's computer is giving her trouble, tonight. But, she managed to send one of all 3 children's cues to me, so I could post it here. These are also included in the 15% off sale, even though they're not on our website, yet. She is hoping to get them online in the morning. The little one is 33 inches, the mid-size is 43 inches and the longest is 53 inches.

At least you can get an idea what they look like.

The 53" would make a nice Bar Cue also. What the Weight?
Have you use Delrin or other material to made your crown buttcap?

Thank for the email on The Masse Cue. Need PayPal address or Mailing adress! Please Pm or Email.

He's been known to use different materials for the crown buttcaps. Generally, he uses wood, or black phenolic. That particular cue has a Kingwood crown buttcap.

He left all the weights and prices and stuff with me, today, so I guess I'm answering questions for him. He had to go to work.

I guess I did not ask the question correctly. What about if somebody does not want the crown on the cue.

That is a 53 inch cue with some beautiful Maple Burl and Kingwood, with a weight choice between 16 and 18.5 ounces, Ivorine ferrule, LePro tip (which can be changed).

You did a fine job of asking the question. I don't think he managed to make himself as specific as he meant to with his answer.

Gene puts the crown on all his cues. The only cue that doesn't have a crown is one that was custom built for his uncle and when his uncle got it, he almost cried because the crown wasn't there to identify it. (He bought another custom-designed cue WITH a crown, later.)

The crown is Gene's identifying mark that is on every one of his cues. It's sort of like the clover leaf on a McDermott.

Hope that makes it a little clearer.

Got it. I guess that no Crown cue without a crown :)

What are we looking at (woods, lengths, etc.) and what are the options / ranges of options for your Masse' cues?

How much is each cue that is shown (except for # 2)?

Here are a couple of variations on how the crowns can be used. Like I said, the first one is free, but location is up to you, if you are ordering a custom designed cue. Most prefer the crown to be at the butt cap, but many like the crowns to be at both ends of the handle, like these, or in some other location.

I seem to remember one guy who was okay with the crown, but asked about having it made of a wood tone that blended. Gene made it blend well. Although it was still visible, it wasn't visible from across the room. So, even though all Crown Cues have the crown, it doesn't mean they are all of strongly contrasting colors. Most customers want the crown to be visible, but not everyone. Gene tries to accomodate his customers as much as possible.

I'm gonna try to get this right. I asked him what is what before he went to work, just to be sure, but we didn't get it all on paper, except the prices. There's only one I'm not sure about, as far as wood. Here goes..

1.Zebrawood with an extended Maple Burl crown $267
2. sold
3. Super curly Maple, $273
4. Not sure (bottom), Bubinga? on top? $264
5. Tulipwood and Bois de Rose $258
6. Super Curly Maple $273
7. Tulipwood and Bolivian Rosewood $283
8. Cochen Rosewood and Curly Maple $271
9. Honduran Rosewood $271
10. Cocobolo and Curly Maple $255
11. Chechen Rosewood $283

I hope that's enough detail to help you out. Remember they are all masse' cues. Most of his masse' cues will weigh up to 25 ounces, some will be capable of weighing more.

Any additional designs to the cues shown will result in additions to the listed prices and possible delays in completion.

For the standard options, check out the recently sold cue at http://crowncues.biz/masse3036.html
I believe that cue has all the standard stuff he usually offers. Sometimes, he'll make a smaller shaft tip or shorter/longer cue, if requested.

For all other inquiries, please write Crown Cues from the website, or pm CrownCues.

Thanks!

(P.S. If you're going to the World Championships this week, there is a chance you might see the above cue, as well as a couple of other Crown Cues.)
