masse tip????

looking for input. im not asking anyone to give up there top secret stuff but i sure could use some input on this! it seems so far all i can get is the generic answer that some use hard and some use soft arrrggghhh!!! im having a masse cue made as we speak and am planning on using my all time favorite tip the kamui black i use it on every thing but my jump and jump/break cue and i love it. i know this tip will do what i want BUT am i missing out on something here? so lets hear it what do you think? thanks in advance
