MASSE & TRICK SHOT TIPS?????????

Looking at Tom Rossmans cue close up and personal it was a leather tip. I did not ask him the brand. The one observation I made that suprised me was that it was cut down to about 1/8 or less in the shoulder area! It appeared to be a dime shape.

Is this on his masse' cue? I have heard that very soft tips are used, probably require constant replacing :)
