For those who may not be aware, events held to promote ‘awareness’ of breast cancer are not designed specifically to inform you that breast cancer exists, the assumption being that you know this already. They are designed to promote the importance of routine screenings, heightened awareness regarding the importance of early detection, education regarding symptoms/risk factors, and when, for example, to seek help.
