Master installers I have a cloth question

I just bought a table that I'm putting in my heated garage. I live in Northern Ontario so it's winter now which means no humidity until spring/summer. I just bought some 860HR cloth and was going to install but heard since it's low humidity I might have loose cloth come summer. Is there a way to wet the cloth to install now so that it tightens up and won't be loose come humid weather?
I seen videos of a guy soaking the 860hr cloth with a sponge as he installed, hear others use spray bottle and heard some said do not use any water. Which is correct?? Don't want to wait till summer to install cloth if I don't have to cause I want it to practice for upcoming tournaments

I personally would not soak worsted wool but I'm not a mechanic and I live in an arid climate. I'm pretty certain if you properly index and stretch the cloth per the manufacturer, you will not have any issue. I'm sure if the soaking the cloth method were viable, Simonis would recommend it. I'll say this, there's a reason suits and slacks have a Dry Clean Only tag on them.

WHAT HE SAID! ^^^^^ If you follow the DVDs and you can even stretch it a bit further than the dvd says, thats the MINIMUM. I use a stretch index of 2" , Jack z does 2.25, it really depends on your ability. Sounds like you have done your research and have all the tools. I like that you even came on here to ask about your concerns! I have a feeling you are gonna do great ! keep us posted?? stay on the path you are on, luck is for sissies. :)

I shouldn't respond to your question at all, because after all, I'm what did you call me, a cry baby?

Neither wool nor nylon shrinks after getting it wet, if wool did shrink, sheep would be walking around with their nuts up around their spine because their wool shrunk up after a rain storm! And when fishing, you wouldn't need a reel to wind your nylon fishing line up, it would just shrink up and pull the fish in with it!

But, wool WILL stretch if you get it wet, guaranteed, but it'll never shrink back tighter than it was installed in the first place!
