Match with John

You are so RIGHT ON THE MONEY.

It would have been one thing if Lou had come on here and said he played good, or that JB played bad, or that he had prevailed without an aiming system.

But, he really went for the jugular. He pointed out, in a funny way, that there are a number of threads about the match on AZBilliards. WHAT A POT STIRRER!

(PS: Lou, looking forward to your detailed write up, you pot-stirring Son of a Bleep) :D

I am sooooo bad.

Played a good match Lou.

What is your speed in 9 or 10b?

Thanks, gxman.

My speed is so low at rotation games that I have to write "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9" on my bridge hand to keep things straight when I occasionally play 9ball.

I thought it as pretty entertaining once they got past the first two games.. Congrats to Lou, I'm pretty certain that the better 1P player won this match. It was pretty evident.

I too look forward to Lou's detailed write up! Popcorn is popping.

Thanks, MOJOE.

But not so fast on the Jiffy Pop. We are finally starting to exit the Ice Age here in St. Louis this winter and I plan on just tending to the garden for a few days and chilling out with my sponsor, buddy, wife, Gail. She's been great, putting up with me as we got closer to the match and even telling me to scoot out of the house and practice the last few weekends.

Even though neither man is a pro, both men acted in a professional manner. Lou benefitted immediately in a monetary way, but John will benefit in the long run by the exposure this match will bring to his business.

I appreciated the free live stream, and I appreciated the very entertaining match. In my opinion, both men played well.

Thanks, guys.

Roger

Thank you, Roger. It all went pretty well and I think each of us would say the other was cordial and respectful.

though John's "dead bug" on the table
after he won one particular game
was a tad over the top

Congrats on the win. It was a good match and I enjoyed watching it.

Win or lose, I tip my hat to you both for posting the money, showing up and playing it out - shows a lot of heart on both sides. There was a good amount of money at stake and it takes a lot to put that in middle and play for it.

hmmmmm, probably, dub.

However, I want to warn everyone -- particularly those that thought I was doing something other here than just making a funny about all the threads on the front page -- that if I do write it up, you'd better grab both butt checks real tight before opening the thread to avoid getting your panties in a big ol' bunch, because it will be my usual, honest, funny, detailed take on what happened.

You have been warned :-)

Looking forward to it Lou!!

Thanks, Tex.

I really never thought I would find myself playing pool for $10K some day. But once the bet was made, there was never *any chance* of my not showing up to play. I have no idea where John got his intel on that but everyone who actually knows me in St. Louis was fully aware I was totally committed.

I loved the look on your face when John said he was short of cash and wanted to PayPal the money. Funny stuff, though maybe not to you at the moment.

I think I went dark after John missed that shot on the 3 ball (I think) in the 2nd game. Should have stuck around, sounds like it got more entertaining.

Is the streamed recorded and available to watch now?

I'd like to see how these two guys play.. :-)

(Mebbe I can get a spot and match up with one fo them??)

That was pretty convincing. I was thinking what the hell is gonna happen now.
Congrats on your win Lou.

Good job Lou, I enjoyed what I watched of it, I was glad to see you both just get it out there and play.

Congrats Lou...you are for sure the better one pocket player out of the two of you. I will say with all the hype building up to this match I thought John was gonna win, but was wrong. I was disappointed that he didn't take the side bet and the bump of the bet....I am not gonna say nitty but.....ok it was. Again congrats on the win and enjoy your win.
