Matching an of the rack shaft

no stroke!!!

I recently bought a custom cue that has a 5/16-18 SS pin and joint that measures .778". I want to match my OB Classic pro on it that has the same thread type. The only problem is, it measures .830" at the joint. Is it still possible to match the shaft or do I have to buy a partial and start from scratch. If possible, how much would it cost? And who's willing to squeeze it in their busy sked!

I appreciate all the help. Thank you in advance.

WoW, .778" huh?
That's got to be the smallest joint diameter I think I've ever heard of.
Up until now it has been CueTec at .795".
No matter, what you ask can be easily done and no you don't have to start with a
new partial. The shaft you currently have is oversize so it just needs to be
cut down to size to fit, sand-in the matching taper and clear-coated.
You'll lose the decal but a new one can be applied in it's place.
It just won't have the 'wording' under the hexagon.
Please PM if you'd like to have me do the work.
Thanx, KJ
