May 24th $20 8ball bar box Rusty's Fort Worth,TX

Yea, I am coaching my sons Soccer team and baseball team...between that, and church on wed and sundays.....we are covered up...

We are making time to go see my wifes sister because she is as lonely as can be down there.....I have a few rent houses here in Ft Gibson and in Muskogee and I am thinking of just letting her stay in one for free just to get her up here.....she is divorced and has a 12yr old daughter, but they dont really know anyone down there...hopefully get them up here and they can be around friends and family again......

I hope your cousin is doing good also...I have been thining about you guys and him alot lately...hope everything is working out how it should

Shawn

We did our share of coaching and officiating games when ours were growing up, too. Gene was a traveling football/baseball/basketball official for kids and adults for a few years. We really enjoyed it.

Good luck with moving the family members.

My cousin is supposedly doing better. We may see him next Tuesday.

We are looking forward to this tournament. Sounds like lots of fun and we'll get to meet a lot more of the AZers, too. Can't beat that!

We'll cut it off at 64 players. Any more than that, and we won't get done. If it does get to 64, the races may drop to 3/2 (it may even be 3/3) due to time constraints. We're going to try to have it 4/3, but if we're getting a full bracket, pushing 64 players through 7 tables will be a pretty tough to do without lowering the race.

We've had as many as 58 in the past, and that ended around 11:00 at night. (the races were lowered to 3/2 in that one)

Thanks again...

That sounds like a wonderful idea to me too....maybe you can do that one on the 8 foot tables though....

Let the goodtimes roll!

Don't know... You may have to look at your wedding pictures to find out.

This is getting kinda funny.....lol

I think it's going to be another great weekend for poolplayers and AZers!
Looking forward to another gathering and getting to meet some of the Oklahoma crew, too!

See everyone there.... You can't miss me, I'll be the one on the front nine foot woofing at Ray!lol

Rusty's is one of my favorite places in the DFW area, so now I guess I have another excuse to drive across and play.... :grin-square:

For fast food, there's jack in the box, What-a-burger within half a block.

Remember though. There will be a cook out with free food served around 5 ish. If you really want chicken, there is a Fiesta in an attached parking lot, and you could pick up a breast or a couple of thighs and Jeff will cook them for you.

Just down the block, to the east, is a Grandy's, a Burger Street.

Before the tournament starts, one block west is a great home cooking place, called West Side Cafe. Inexpensive, but very good home cooking type food.

Hope this helps.

If you help in the beginning, yes, play! :)

So, hello to you. This sounds like it is going to be a good tournament. I have never been there but I think I will mark this date in May.
I first need to listen to my audio copy of "In Pursuit of Excellence"

Wow! I forgot that Texas has Jack in the Box. Do they still sell the Moby Jack? I haven't had one of those in 10 or 15 years! I"m not planning on eating fast food. Just had a flashback on that one. Thanks!

i am more along the lines of the home cooking... meat and potatoes kind of people. But, I have to have my salad. I may have to try a little of the cook out food, too.

Thanks for all the "feed" back on this one.

We can't pull two weekends in a row, on the road. We're hoping to be in Fort Worth on the 24th, so we can't make the Shreveport/Bossier Fast Eddies $40 9 Ball Extravaganza on the 29th and 30th of may.

Don't hit me for mentioning another tournament on your thread. Even though we can't make the other one, I figured I could give your thread a bump and a comment about the other one, to help folks find more tournaments in the ArkLaTex. I hit the other thread with news about this one, too.

For the record, your tournament is much more affordable and it's a couple hours closer to us. Shreveport is close to Minden, which is where I spent a lot of my time as a kid, so it's got major sentimental value. But, we still can't travel 2 weeks in a row, right now.
