McDaniel QJ68 Joint Screw

Hello AZ Guys,
Need your help again
This is the Joint of a Bill McDaniel QJ68 Cue.
Is this a piloted 3/8" Joint Screw? The screw looks kinda big.

Can anyone tell me the Screw nominal size and thread pitch and screw length?
Also, the pilot diameter and pilot standout height?
assuming it is a 3/8" screw.

Alton the best way to get this stuff right. Get a thread guage from someplace that sells tap and die sets. Also invest in a good pair of callipers. For what you are doing they will be a life saver. Also this book will save your ass..

I got all that, I don't have the cue, it's a photo of a customer's cue.

Alton, usually see them as 5/16-14. Have seen Bill's cues before in a 3/8-11 SW-style pin, but flat faced. If you want to know for sure, try contacting the user here "hangemhigh"....He can tell you more than you would ever want to know about Bill's cues. Take care. Sean
