Mcdermott 6 point hustler??

well im looking to buy a cue from a guy at a pool hall but would look to know if anyone knows anythign about or possible a price range it should be in... well im going to tell you what i know about it(which isnt much sorry) its a mcdremott 6 point... looks like the mcdermott hustler just 6 points instead of 4 and has birdseye maple above the points... i was told by the owner it is in the range of 20 years or so old and has no dings what so ever... if any info can be givin to me about this cue it would be much appreciated...

If it has 3 high and 3 low points that are rounded off, it is an ED model McD. They were made with dymonwood in a few colors and also in some exotic woods. Average asking price here is in between 150 and 250 used. Some that were exceptional pieces with tons of birdseye have I have sold in the 250-350 range.

Make sure you like the weight of the cue before buying, as they dont have the weight change option.
 
thanks for the info... its 19 oz i think (by feel) and i dont have a problem with that... the points were all same length i think but could be wrong... and the tips of the ponits wernt round they were pointed... birdseye was from the start of the points up to the shaft... and i dont knwo what the rest of the butt was butt it was a very nice stick... he wants $300 and is the person the works on cues there... ive known him for a while so i dont think he would rip me off but id like to atleast know the history on something im buying.... but im not knowlegeable with pool cue lingo so please bare with me... but thank you
 
well when mcdermott only values it at 200, and their values are often high, I'd say 300 is about twice what it should be.
 
i figured that... i have $300 cash burning a hole in my pocket and i want a mcdemott!!!!! finding out that this cue aint worth what hes asking makes me disapointed i want a cue... but thanks
