D Series McDermott

Yes....This Cue was built much later, after McDermott discontinued the D Series.
The forearm is a D Series.
McDremott had about 25 of these forearms in storage (unaware they were in storage)
Bill Grassely of Cornerstone Billiards found these forearms in the McDermott
storage and had McDermott build x number of D Series Cues from the forearms.

So, YOU are correct this cue is NOT original D Series cue.

This cue is a D Series Cue built from the D Series forearms that were found
in the McDermott storage.

When it was built?
2000 to 2010 ?
not sure

You can check the story with McDermott if you want?

Look up the D series in the Blue Book Pool Cues!
It looks like the Level 4 D-19 cue, this cue is with no inlays in the butt sleeve
page 493 / 3rd Edition / Blue Book of Pool Cues
cue value $975 at 98% original
THIS cue, with no enlays in butt sleeve,value $500 / $600 ???

later
sax

trying to show picture with ob1 shaft

ob1 shaft does not fit flush to McDermott Butt
It is still a solid connection & does not effect the hit of the cue
If THIS IS A PROBLEM....cue is not for you!
