Anybody got an extra D series bolt? Weight does not really matter as I can cut some off if it's too heavy.

I cut an 1-1/4" off of my McD "D"" weigthbolt and now it will not thread into the cue.

The threads in the "D" cues do not go all the way up.
They start about 2" after the bolt hole lip.
I had to use a Nylon Socket Head Bolt to get it lighter and still be able to screw the bumper on. Had to shave away the edges of the socket head to get it to fit.

Ruined a good McD vintage "D" weight bolt.

I haven't cut mine back that far but I did cut .5oz off of a 1.5oz bolt, still plenty threads. I recently found, (on here I think), a .5oz aluminum bolt that I bought for about $8.00 for another D-series I have. I need 1 more bolt to experiment with as I don't want to cut the steel bolt back anymore, thanks for that info. Where did you get the nylon socket head bolt?
