mcdermott defy

Defy shafts absorb the hit way too much imo--- difficult to move the cue ball around a 9 footer without smacking the dogsheeyet out of it.
Pretty much zero feel/feedback.
Defy (and pretty much all McDermott's shafts) target market is the average bar bangers. And there are a lot of them.
For the money, Cuetec Cynergy would be a better choice imo.

Hmmm, this makes me consider waiting until July. How would you describe the new finish? Similar to a Revo? Or Defy-esque but just not sticky? Do you think lube would have to be applied frequently? I put cue conditioner on mine before every night out playing just because I like the smooth feel.
I have only hit a handful of shots with a Revo but I would say the new finish make the shaft feel similar. I have been playing with the prototype for a week or so and haven't noticed a change in the feel. Granted I wear a glove all the time anyways (even when I shot with wood) so that is probably helping. Personally I don't think you would need to lube the shaft up as often with the new finish.

I would disagree on needing to smack the crap out of the ball to move it around a 9ft table. My friends who I have sold shafts too move the rock just fine and then there's all the crazy stroke shots I do with it. Its obvious your a Cuetec person, which is cool, but no need to mischaracterize a brand due to your own bias.

I also disagree. I have a defy shaft, and yes it does kind of have a "marshmallow" type feel, but it moves the cue ball very well. As goods, or even better, than all the shafts I have tried and that includes Cuetetec and Revo. Of course, IMHO.
