I have a brown lizard print mac case. It is a well made case. I can't help you with the value, I can't even remember what I gave for mine. I don't think they have made them for a while but I do see them come up for sale now and again.

Mac Cases...

Hi.

I have had several. They usually run from 75-150 depending on condition.

I would not say they are rare, neither are these readily available. But if you live in earthquake prone locations, these are probably the ideal cases to store your precious cues!

Pristine mint condition, I've seen go for around $200, but they usually go for the range mentioned earlier because they are usually beat up in some way. As MasterClass has stated, this is the only Fellini style case that can survive serious punishment! It has metal construction that claims it can survive being driving over by a truck, but I don't believe anyone has ever tested the validity of that statement.

If this McDermott Super Mac case were the one with the optional storage compartment, those go for $250-$350 depending on condition. I've never seen one with the storage compartment that was in pristine mint condition.

Also keep in mind that there were two generations of McDermott Super Mac cases, 1st gen was all metal casing, 2nd gen was metal exterior casing/plastic interior casing. The later was wider and longer due to the mixed material construction because of the difference in material thickness in order to provide the same structural support and protective capability as the 1st generation. At least, based on what I can tell from the examples that I have in my collection.
