So, was wondering if anyone has compared these two shafts?

I am looking for a 3/8 x 10 shaft and the McDermott can be had for $160 new, vs. $240 for the Predator fat shaft. Both are LD with 13+ shafts.

Any help here?

Thanks,
Jon

What exactly would you like to know. I would go with the Pred. but that's just me. I shoot with a Fat Shaft myself, never played with an I-Shaft

I want to know if there is a comprable difference in these two shafts? the I-1 is supposed to be a breaking shaft, but it seems the specs would be similar to the Fat Shaft. If a softer tip was put on the McDerm would it be a cheaper alternative to the Fat Shaft? I used to own a fat shaft and liked it, thinking the Mc Der or maybe the OB breaking shaft could be cheaper alternativees, till Predator makes a stock 3/8 x 10 shaft.

The Fat Shaft is said to be only 5% higher in deflection then the 314-2, which is much lower then the I-Shaft you speak of. I would think that means the Fatty is still lower in deflection then the I-shaft.
I'm actually very interested in the OB-Break myself. I will be purchasing one for a break shaft but I will test it out for a player as well. Royce said it would deflect more then the OB-1 but I'm hoping it would be around the BK-2/Fat Shaft range.
