I cannot speak to what people are willing to pay for a cue like this.

But...

I own this same model and it hits very good.

not really understand, yes its a production cue, this cue retails at 1569, you are getting a custom leather wrap, a 314 shaft, a spare shaft, custom joint protectors and ring work for 800 plus shipping, i think thats a pretty great deal...
