Can someone please tell me if the McDermott quick release joint (on H-2951) the same as VQR and does that stand for Viking Quick Release? Thanks!

I doubt if it's the same
Mcdermott quick release is 3/8x16,
Theu use to offer it in 3/8x10 also but discontinued it long ago.

Viking uses a 5/16x18 quick release.

The McDermott QR is clearly 3/8-16, but I agree, there's minimal information on McDermotts website. It just says "quick release" If they indeed have changed to 18TPI, that must be quite recently.
