Me, the UK and the IPT

Grady

Pro Player
I went to England 4 or 5 years ago to try to qualify for what is called the World Championship. It cost me $4,000 and I had no end result of being able to play, like the 150 players for the IPT are.
For anybody who can make a ball this is a tremendous opportunity. My wife and I had already made up our minds before we knew that I was selected, to go to the first event, get on the alternate list, volunteer or whatever we could to qualify.
Without mentioning names, I personally called three great players and told them about this new tour and how to apply. They didn't even bother and now, of course, they're really unhappy.
I applaud Kevin for not kowtowing to Orgs. like the UPA and the WPA.
I'm excited about pool, more so than ever in my life and why wouldn't I be? I won four world titles and the most I ever won was $10,000.
9 Ball has had 40 years and it hasn't done much. This whole project is a breath of fresh air, if you ask me. Good luck to everybody and I'll see you in Orlando.

Good luck Grady. Maybe you will play Allison again. Watching that would be worth the price of admission. The more I read the Q & A's the more I look forward to being there to witness this event.

i'm completly in awe of this ipt event. i sometimes lay awake at night thinking to myself, how lucky and fortunate i was to be part of the "lucky 150" i hope and pray that the hurricanes stay away, and that this buzz build up, lives up to our expectations, i for one look foward to allison fisher kicking male butt!
