Meeting AZB'ers

FINALLY!!! A tournament where people actually introduced themselves instead of waiting until they got back home to get on here & say "I saw you there". Last I heard, Deadstroke was going but I never did see him. The 1st ones to come up and introduce themselves was Nostroke, Nipponbilliards, & 9ballgirl. I spotted Fred who in turn introduced me to cue1950 & Tom in Cincy. Since Cambridge last wkend & then the open, I've managed to meet up with quite a few of the AZB'ers...

TheOne.... pics of TheOne in Carmbridge should be up tomorrow night. I haven't been home long enough to get them on here. Pool league tonight... pics tomorrow night. ;) Let me just add what a pleasure it was to meet Craig & hang out with him. He's a very funny guy & I had a great time at Great Slates hanging out with him.

Girlwon1.... It is a shame we don't live closer cause it's rare that I meet a female that I can get along with so well & hang out with.(as Tina had mentioned herself in another thread) :(

Fred Agnir... he loves women. ;)

Tom In Cincy... very informative. Things that make you go hmmmm. :p

If I'm forgetting someone, please forgive me. I still haven't had a chance to catch up on my sleep from this past week! It was a pleasure meeting all of you. I didn't have a single bad experience with any of the AZB'ers or CCB'ers that I met. (not that I expected to). Looking forward to Valley Forge so I can add to this list!

You forgot about me. Well we didnt exactly meet but i think you saw me. I hope we are still friends/aquantinces. Is that spelled right? :confused: O well

No Timberly, I'm here too!

It was great to be able to meet a whole load of folk from the forums that I read (here and CCB) and finally be able to put faces to typefaces!

Well, the vacation is over now and I'm back in office (boo-hoo!). Everything is now just a memory, but what a memory it is! I want to do it all again and I want to do it now! I know that's not possible, so I'll just need to be patient and wait for 2007 before I can come back to the Open (hoping to do DCC in the January, but I'll wait and see for that one).

I look forward to meeting you all again at some point down the road.

Well i think i was in on the contest but didnt know it. Actually it must have been the tequilla shooter to get things started quicker and then followed by multiple beers. I dont remember winning though. :D :D Must have had too many. :D :D

Mike, you're too kind, thank you. Looking foward to the next meeting. I'm sure our paths will cross at another tourney before too long. I assume you & some of the CCB crew along with a ton of AZB'ers will be in Valley Forge? :cool:

Sorry dear... I was doing a search to see if you were over here too because I was sure you were, but I was looking for "cardman", not "thecardman". :rolleyes: The Open might've come & gone but you've got that beautiful trophy from the tournament you guys had at the pool room Sat morning!

LOL, Tina & I tried really hard to get there sooner but it just wasn't happening. She was in the pool room all night sweatin' the action like a true fan of pool & I was drinking all night like a true alcoholic. :D Needless to day, I was feeling pretty rough that day! I still had a pounding headache when the pic of Wendy & I was taken. Notice I had a cup of coffee in my hand... it was close to 3 pm! :p

Rut roh! I wouldn't mind taking on one of you, but both of you.... YO CRAIG, I need a drinking partner for Valley Forge!!! I've sized up the competition & it's tough... Koop is a big tall guy... he's got leverage there... Roscoe... he drinks more than I do, so he's got leverage. I won't back down though :D
