The last thing I read about the Memphis Tourney was that Justin Bergman was undefeated, what happened on Sunday?

Anyone?

Zim,

Here's a little bit from the Southern Billiards site.

Memphis Report:

Bergman undefeated in Memphis
Saturday play is complete at the $12,000 Super 9-Ball Tournament at High Pockets in Memphis, TN and the field has been whittled to just 16 players.

On the winners side, 17 year old Justin Bergman will face James Baraks in one of the matches. The other three winners side matches will be Charlie Bryant vs Jui Lung Chen, James Evans vs Bill Young and Nick Hickerson vs Nick Vita.

Matches on the one loss side will be Luc Gaines vs Steve Moore, Bruce Barrong vs Reed Pierce, Jason Ling vs Brian Butler and Buddy Hall vs Robert Newkirk.

Ending his tournament run just one match away from Sunday play was 11 year old Landon Shuffett who lost 9-6 to Reed Pierce.

Mike

yes, this is on AZ too, we want to know what happened SUNDAY!

When I left...

When I left Bergman had beat Barracks - he jumped out early and James came back and got to 7. He missed in an out that would have tied. Heartbreaking match as I watched Barracks warming up and he looked unstoppable- breaking and running at will.

Bergman beat Chen later on in a good match with Chen missing and Bergman running out from everywhere and then shooting a 2-9.

Billy Young won. Hickerson beat Vita and I left during his match with HillBilly.

update

bergman won!!!!!!!!!!! beat stevie moore in finals who went through loser bracket like a wild man not sure but think he pitched a shut out on hillbilly was on other side of room but never saw hillbilly shoot anyway they both played great billy young third and hillbilly 4th cya guys

Justin Bergman did win at Memphis! I spoke to Lars Vardeman today and he said Justin is constantly amazing him with unexpected "Big" wins! Around $2,400 1st place and $1,700 Calcutta, not a bad weekend paycheck for a 17yr old, huh?

Justin Bergman , Chuck Raulston, Reed Pierce, Buddy Hall , Lil John, Lil Luc, Chen, James Walden, Stevie Moore, Bruce Berong, Robert Newkirk, Brian Butler, Jamie Baracks, Nick Vita, Blake Todd, Tony Fargo, Hillbilly, Nick Hickerson, Billy Young, Jason Evans, Landon Shumpett, Hennessee And Me Damn It. Pretty Strong Field For About Forty Or So Players If I Left Someone Out I Apoligize.

P.s. By The Way All These Players Will Be At The Memphis 20000 Rack Tourney Nov. 18-20 With Purse Being Guarnteed Only For A 100 Entry Fee That Is Green Fee Included Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have A Good One

LOL, I gotta laugh, & Mike T, you can probably agree.... it doesn't matter if Stevie plays once a week or once every two yrs... he picks up a cue and he plays lights out! I have always enjoyed watching Stevie play... It's shame pro players can't make the same amount of money as other pro atheletes... Stevie would be a millionaire for sure. ;)

mempis tourny

Just my two cents worth, not only can stevie moore shoot the game, he is a good person also, I had a tourny at my place to raise money for a friends wife med expences, we raised a good amount. stevie won and doneted all his winnings to the fund, " steveie you are the man" 'STICK"

Here is a message I posted about Stevie in another forum. You won't find a better person in pool (IMO).

Oh, my Member name is MosconiJr on the other forum.
