the best advice I have ever gotten on keeping focus...

I'm playing pool with some guy in a bar....

and there is a REALLY cute waitress.... I keep peeking at her during my opponents turn...

and my grandpa smacks me in the back of the head... just hard enough to get my attention..

he says... imagine how nice it will be to buy her drinks with his money (pointing at my opponent).....

then he says..

"You have to put the potatoes on the plate before your start "Fooling" with the Gravy"

that one always stuck with me...

The only advice my dad gave me was that there was always someone better....kinda effects my play to this day...

well my dad told me i was going to the bottom of the ditch 3 years ago...

now i'm 3 classes from graduating with my AA degree and moving on to bachelors.

as for the the original thread, i don't really get the saying.
