Will try to be more concise where I can, as it's not the first time I've been told that I use a few too many words :ROFLMAO: I do try to be conscious of it.

Yes, we infer whatever tone we like quite often when reading text... Actually very apparent in some posters on this forum lol I just take everything with the pinch of salt and enjoy myself :)
Quite thankful for the forum :)

I read and write Chinese at the level of a seven year old at best, using pinyin and guessing characters that look familiar for the most part.
Translation can prove hilarious sometimes - It is frustrating when sometimes you offend without meaning too (which has happened a couple times)
Living amongst expats, I often find the differences in American, English, Aussie, Canadian and second language English speakers to be absolute bedlam :ROFLMAO:

We are a little off-topic now... sorry to anyone who stumbles across us talking in a thread like two old aunties :ROFLMAO:
