For anyone who is interested, a new member here, f@steddie, has setup a new pool blog:

He is currently re-writing his first article, as he decided to split the article into two parts. This blog is addressing the mental side of the game. As many of you know, while we may have sound mechanics of the game, we often fall prey to the mental side. This blog is designed to help with that.

All I know about him is that he is a local player here, and shoots like it's just part of his breathing....effortless. He is also giving lessons to a gal on my team. I am considering sitting in on a lesson or two. He is amazing to watch, and is very quiet. I am sure he'll supply an introduction when he is ready to post.

Interesting side note: I was out playing with my hubby last night, and was having a helluva time of it. Finally, my hubby tells me that I am over-thinking and over-aiming. He tells me that I KNOW the mechanics of the game, have confidence in myself and just take the shot. Well, I just started to rely on my initial read of the shot, set, and stroke....damn near ran the table on him the very next game!

So I am definitely looking forward to his articles, as clearly what is holding me back right now is ME.
