tonite, joe callaluca and i met up with tony zinzola and i picked up the purpleheart and olivewood cue tony made for me. that's right, coraccio, callaluca, and zinzola, that's a lot of vowels at the end of the names!! we should have met in the north end. i'll post some pics of the cue tomorrow night. tony is a great guy and also a heck of a pool player. i was very impressed with the passion he has for making cues and he's not kidding about making firewood out of sub-par results. it was wild listening to joe and tony toss around ideas about making cues and comparing notes on their work.
i was also impressed with the cue, it's appearance and it's playability. the workmanship was very good, the woods and the colors of the veneers are a great match and the hit is very solid. tony has a good sense of what looks good together. more on the cue tomorrow when i post the pics.
i just want to thank tony for the opportunity to try one of his cues.
